万博会場にて At the Expo site ── 未来と伝統が交わる入り口 The gateway where the future and tradition meet
4月5日、晴天に恵まれた土曜日。万博会場の「テストラン」に参加してきました。
April 5, It was a sunny Saturday. I participated in a “test run” at the Expo site.
まず出迎えてくれたのは、会場のシンボルでもある大屋根リング。日本の建築技術が結集されたその造形美は圧巻で、木のぬくもりと香りに包まれるような感覚は、実際にその場に立たなければ味わえません。
The first thing that greeted us was the large roof ring, which is the symbol of the venue. The beauty of the design, which brings together Japanese architectural techniques, is overwhelming, and the feeling of being enveloped in the warmth and scent of wood can only be experienced by standing there in person.
また、各国パビリオンもその外観がすでに個性を放っており、フィリピン・中国・アメリカ・フランス・オーストリアなど、それぞれが未来へのメッセージを建築で表現しているようでした。
Furthermore, the exteriors of each country’s pavilion were already distinctive, and countries such as the Philippines, China, the United States, France, and Austria seemed to be expressing messages for the future through their architecture.

- 西ゲート（近道）West Gate (shortcut)：シャトルバスの事前予約が必要（KANSAI MaaSアプリより）Advance reservation for shuttle bus required(via KANSAI MaaS app)
- 東ゲート（OsakaMetro）East Gate (Osaka Metro)：予約不要。ただし会場まで徒歩約1.5kmほど歩く必要あり No reservation required. However, you will need to walk about 1.5km to the venue.
